Description

I bought this years ago at an auction because it intrigued me. It was advertised as parts to a morse code telegraph. But to this day I still haven't figured out what it is for. One side of this has a brass switch which slides across a row of wires. The other side has a wooden wheel attached to the spindle. As you can see in the pictures the wheel has a chip in it. I thought someone might know what this is for a may want it. Would make a great item for the science class. This vintage electric motor is a great find for those looking for parts. With a belt-driven design, it could be useful for industrial automation and motion control applications. The motor is in the United States and has a single-phase AC phase. It is base-mounted and has an unknown brand, rated load, and current type. The motor may have a telegraph Morse code application, but this is not confirmed. It is a great addition to any collection of vintage industrial equipment. This electric motor is perfect for those who are interested in the history of industrial automation and want to add a unique piece to their collection.
